Short version: I don’t sell your info.
I collect what I need to put you in a group and text you, and nothing is sold or used for ads. Here’s the longer version.
What I collect
When you sign up: your first name, phone number, that you’re 18 or older, your age range, your gender if you choose to share it (and whether you’d like a women-only group), the parts of DFW and the nights that work for you, what you’re into, what you’re hoping to get out of this, what you do, whether you usually get conversation going or listen in a group, why you’re looking for new people (optional), your guess at how awkward the first meetup will feel, how you heard about Seirea and who referred you, and anything you add in the notes. I also note which link brought you here, like a Reddit post or a friend’s share link.
Once groups start, I keep track of who came each week and where your group met, and ask how awkward the first meetup actually felt.
Why
- To place you in a group near you, on a night that works, with people you’ll have things in common with.
- To text you your group and night, and your payment link.
- To learn whether this format works, like how many people keep coming back.
Who sees it
- Me (Acram). I read every sign-up and place every group.
- Your group. Your group chat runs on GroupMe, which doesn’t show your phone number to other members; they see the name you use there. I don’t share your form answers with your group, beyond the interests you have in common and a short summary with no names, like “3 of you work in healthcare.”
- The services that run this. Sign-ups are stored with Supabase, the site is hosted on Vercel, payments go through Stripe, and group chats run on GroupMe. Stripe handles your card; I never see it.
That’s the whole list. No ads, no data brokers, nothing sold.
Deleting your info
Text me anytime at the number that texts you, and I’ll delete your info.
Age
Seirea is for adults. If I learn someone under 18 signed up, I delete their info.
