Ground rules

Brave, but kind.

Everyone in a Seirea group agrees to these before their first meetup. They’re short on purpose. Breaking them gets you removed from your group.

  1. Public places only.Week 1 is at a public spot I pick. After that your group picks, and it’s always somewhere public: a coffee shop, park, restaurant or game spot. Never anyone’s home. Get there on your own.
  2. Pick spots that work for everyone.Keep it affordable and easy to reach for the whole group. If a spot doesn’t work for someone, pick another one.
  3. Friendship first.Groups are matched for friendship, not dating. You’re all adults, so if two people hit it off, that’s their call. Keep meetups about the whole group.
  4. No pitching. No selling, recruiting or promoting anything to your group.
  5. Ask before photos. No photos or videos of anyone without asking first, and don’t post people online without their OK.
  6. What’s shared in the group stays in the group.Don’t pass on anyone’s personal details. GroupMe keeps phone numbers private; share yours only if you want to.
  7. Respect a no.If someone doesn’t want to talk, swap numbers or hang out one-on-one, that’s the end of it.
  8. Skip the bars this round.First-round meetups are at coffee shops, restaurants, parks and game spots, not bars or clubs. If a spot serves alcohol, drinking is always optional and nobody gets pressured.
  9. Show up, or say so.Can’t make it this week? Say so in the group chat by noon on meetup day. Seeing the same people only works if people come. Miss two meetups without saying anything, and your seat goes to someone on the waitlist.
  10. 18+ only.Everyone in a group is an adult.

If something feels off, leave. You never need a reason. Then text me at the number that sent you your group. Reports stay private, and I review every one within 24 hours.

What happens after a report. One credible report of harassment, threats, or pursuing someone after they said no, and that person is removed for good. If two different people say someone made them uncomfortable, that person is moved out of the group. The person who reported is never named.
